The Great Migration Spectacle
Masai Mara

Best Time To Visit
Peak Season
July – September
The Masai Mara comes alive during these months with the Great Migration in full swing. Millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross into the Mara from the Serengeti, creating one of the most dramatic wildlife spectacles on Earth. It’s also the best time for predator action — lions, cheetahs, and crocodiles are highly active. Expect clear skies, golden light, and thrilling game drives.
Shoulder Season
June & October
These transitional months offer a quieter, more exclusive safari experience. Wildlife is still abundant, and sightings remain excellent — with fewer vehicles around. Photographers love this time for softer light and dynamic skies, especially before and after the migration peaks.
Low Season
November - May
This is the green season, when the landscape transforms with lush vegetation and dramatic cloudscapes. Though rains may occur, the park is vibrant and alive. Birdlife is exceptional, and big cats are still around — often with cubs. It’s the best time for moody, atmospheric photography and budget-friendly travel.
